One of the things that is most important to us is that people feel welcome, not just the first time they visit, but every time they come.
Our hope is to see college-age students and twenty-something young adults connected with the church. We hope that all people who attend the First United Methodist Church of Appleton’s 2fortytwo group will find it a home away from home, a family, and a sanctuary. Our goal is to create a place where people can grow spiritually and relationally, a place where people can find purpose and direction for the years ahead as together we learn to love God and each other more. For more information, please contact the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, Brian Stahl at email@example.com or 734-2677 ext. 315 or 920-840-5075. We hope to get connected with you soon!
The idea of 2fortytwo is not a new one; actually it’s a couple thousand years old. It comes from Acts 2:42. “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” For this group of new believers church was much more than songs and a 3-point sermon. Church was not a building, it was a way of life.
2fortytwo meets the first and third Wednesdays at 8 pm @ Copper Rock Coffee Company at 210 W. College Avenue in Appleton.
